As I engage myself with my second order of ice cream, I feel the sugar-high, and it seems my eyes have become stronger.  I'm sure my eyes have just adjusted to the candlelight, but I'm confident I can read now.  The book I have with me is one our oldest daughter had given to us for our Anniversary.
